As a huge fan and long term client of Maryann Vaughn's, I can tell you that this amazing woman has invested her heart and soul into the beautiful Arabian horses that we love.
When you pull onto Schimdt Road you can immediately feel her presence, and you can feel the love that she puts into these animals, this breed, her farm and most importantly to ME.... MY beautiful Mare and Filly and future foals that I entrust to her!! I would not dream of keeping them anywhere else. I have to drive over an hour to see them and they are my life, but as I say - when I die I want to come back as one of Maryann's horses!! They live such a special life.
Aside for the wonderful care they are given, Maryann has such an eye for beauty and is an amazing breeder. It's typical to walk through her pastures and say "WOW who is THIS ONE??!!!" Well that's a Maryann bred superstar! The Egyptian influence is present in her pastures but she has meticulously incorporated such influencial stallions as Marwan al Shaqab and Echo Magnifficoo to create the perfect picture!
If you are in town or close to it... you would not be sorry to go and visit the one and only Ms. Maryann and Golden Medallion Arabians!

It is hard to put into words what you experience when you first step foot on GMA soil. It is an oasis. Each of the horses on the farm is tended to as a VIP, treated with great respect, with each individual need and preference cared for. Even in designing her farm, Maryann put the horses first from the beginning. Extra large and airy stalls, huge paddocks, large, grassy fields....everything catering to the comfort of the horses in her care. Walking the fields with Maryann, even the smallest noise from her brings everyone running. It is truly a sight to behold! No words are needed to explain the love that these horses hold for Maryann...all one need do is watch!
Her breeding program speaks for itself. Walls of ribbons, shelves of trophies, and photos of wins from the class ``A`` to National levels abound. Small but consistent foal crops add to her growing list of home-grown champions. The foals themselves are not only quality, but also possess an extremely intelligent and personable demeanor. They are handled with respect and kindness from day one, and develop truly outstanding, people-loving personalities.
We can`t even begin to explain how grateful we are to Maryann. She has taken such incredible care of our mare and her foals over the last four years. Maryann does anything and everything she can to make sure that each and every horse and client is cared for the way she herself would like to be. We truly do feel like ``part of the family``. Maryann is a consummate horsewoman and incredible friend. We are blessed to know her. Looking forward to many more years with GMA!
